Nuar Gallery is a contemporary art gallery and curatorial platform founded in 2023 by Valentina Ferrari and Flaminia Ciabattini, investigating the evolving relationship between art, space and audience in the contemporary cultural landscape.

Founded on the belief that art can no longer remain confined within traditional exhibition systems, Nuar develops projects that move beyond the conventional “white cube” model — a paradigm critically discussed since the late twentieth century for its tendency to isolate artworks from social, architectural and lived contexts.

Today, contemporary art exists within an increasingly fluid cultural environment, where the boundaries between exhibition, hospitality, design, public space and everyday experience continuously intersect. In this context, the artwork is no longer conceived as a distant object of passive contemplation, but as an active presence capable of generating dialogue, atmosphere and emotional participation.

Drawing from this perspective, Nuar curates exhibitions, site-specific interventions and cultural experiences in dialogue with private and public spaces, creating contexts in which art becomes part of how people inhabit, encounter and remember a place.
