Bio
Born in Londrina, Brazil, in 1989, Mayara Scudeler is an Italo-Brazilian artist currently residing in Turin. After graduating in Multimedia Visual Arts, she spent several years working with software and digital processes. However, she chose traditional and analog media as her primary means of expressing her creativity.
From a young age, Mayara explored her queer identity and found in photography a way to represent the strangeness she perceives in the world. Through her work, she seeks to communicate the sense of not belonging to the "natural rules" of society and to explore the concepts of identity and belonging.
In 2022, her works were exhibited at the Kulturstiftung in Basel, Switzerland, and recently, she participated in the Cagliari Urbanfest.
